December Christmas fireworks on the slopes was the best. Something you should see if you haven't yet. Everything is close and convenient. Stayed at the Iron Horse with our dogs...nice and dog friendly.

The runs here are absolutely fantastic. I was a new skier and I was able to ski with ease. The green runs are very easy - village way is the easiest run there. I didn't have lessons but by the end of the two weeks skiing I was doing blue runs. Highly recommended.
I have been multiple times with large groups and just by myself. What I like most about this resort is how they have almost separated the terrain difficulty by mountain. If you want something more challenging, spend your day on Mary Jane. If you are just learning or refreshing you can stick to Winter Park Mountain or Vasquez Ridge. Since...

I took an all-day group lesson and lasted nearly through to the end! My instructor was great and very patient with me. I was terrified but he helped me calm down and eventually learn the basics of skiing. I hope to go back and build on what I learned!
Winter Park offers everything that a family of varied abilities would need to enjoy a week of skiing. The trails are well marked, and it appears that great consideration was made for how trails are laid out. It is much easier to move from one part of the mountain to another than at many other resorts to which we have...

I've just returned from a week at winter park. We have had a brilliant week. The facilities were excellent from the groomed slope, staff on the lifts, down to the 'helpers' in the resort holding the question mark placards.
My only gripe was the long walk from the shuttle bus stop through the resort to the meeting place on the...

Ski terrain is great and varied. Ski School wasgood. I had a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old in ski school and they both loved...

Spent 4 days, first day I was a bit disappointed, moguls heaven but everywhere I went was skied off. Then had a full day lesson with Susan, she was excellent, only 4 in a class. She tok us around the back of the resort, it is marked for expert only skiers. Did several runs in powder! hardly anyone in the...

The Mary Jane side of Winter Park has great moguls, very good terrain above tree line and free ski-in/out parking. Winter Park is the closest major resort to Denver. The snow is better than average for Colorado (so that means very good). Winter Park offers some of the best beginner terrain anywhere (skiiers left has extensive flat terrain). Off mountain...

Our son is turning 8 and it was time to teach him to ski. There is no where else in the world that is better then Winter Park (Whistler and Big sky close 2nds). He got his legs on the second day and we were off to the races for the next two days. Winter park in March is heaven,...
