It's not a large theter, but it acts like it is. The two plays we went to were only average. TheaterWorks has excellent plays and better value for the money.

Hartford Stage is an professional intimate theater offering a season of fabulous plays, from Shakespeare to current and cutting edge. All seats have unhindered views of the stage, whether in proscenium or thrust configuration. A Christmas Carol is performed every December to sold out audiences. It's the ultimate holiday experience.

A quirky little play that I must say,I found strangely amusing. I had section G but there's not a bad seat in the house.

Productions vary, but you can count on great scenery, costumes, and stagecraft. Acting and scripts vary. Not New York, but just as good, at times. Give it a try.

I had floor seating which I loved. The first row made me feel like me & Mikey Baryshnikov were bosom buddies. I'm going back Saturday for Abundance.

We were in the right place and time to run across the production of Man in a Case. The website has a nice feature which allows you to see your view of the stage from various... More

Try to go to Trumbull Kitchen for a bite before a play and then walk down Trumbull Street to the Hartford Stage for your show - it'll... More

Great small venue. Cozy seating and drinks allowed in the theater. Couldn't have been more comfortable. Saw Man in a Case and loved it. Very avant garde.

I went there in December and saw a play with a bunch of other schools and we had a great time! I always love to go there because the staff is great and the seats are great! I love it there!

There isn't a bad seat in the house! This theater is fantastic and generally puts on some fantastic shows. The Christmas shows are fabulous.
