We went to Yale's visitor center and took an excellent student-led tour of the campus by "Sarah" who gave us a very thorough tour with lots of personal insights into Yale.

The Yale campus is very walkable but get a map from the Omni hotel or just about any local business. The Chapel is not to be missed, and the Library is breathtaking. Really. Try to remember that Presidents (among others) have walked these grounds and soak in the history.

We spent a lovely afternoon going through the university. The free guided tour is recommended and usually conducted by a student. The passion these young people have is heartwarming. The young man who took us through the 1.5 hours was very knowledgeable and passionate about the university (He was a British national). We enjoyed the buildings and thought it very... More

Quite beautiful and peaceful, with old buildings. We went there on Sunday, so there are not so many students there.

The tour starts at the visitor centre with a (for UK visitors) cheesy video but things improve dramatically once you get outside and are guided around the amazing buildings and listen to the well informed (student) guide. All very picturesque ... a New Haven 'must do'!

What a beautiful old campus that is long in history and tradition. It was neat to see this place that I have heard about my entire life.
