The cost for the museum was high but you also get free admission to the Palmer house, about one mile away. The Lighthouse did offer a wonderful view. The palmer house was of interest. If you can not do both tours then the price of admission is steep.

The setting, the building, the beach...inspiring! Gathered Irish Moss and made blancmange dessert from the harvest. Not to be missed.

The museum has alot of great historical pieces from the area and then you get to climb to the top of the tower. Typical narrow stairs then a ladder to the top. The fresnel lens has been removed, but it gives you an amazing 360 view. Labels on the windows tell you what you are seeing.

The cost to enter was a little high- $9.00 a ticket. However, we enjoyed learning about the seaport and how it important it once was to the US. Great Views from the Lighthouse.
