Having done many charter fishing trips. Rodney is by far the most knowledgable and friendliest guide we have ever had. He knows his way around the 10,000 islands and knows where to find the fish. I will for sure be fishing with him again.

This was our second trip with Captain Rodney. We enjoyed the first so much that we had to do it again. There will probably be a third. He is so knowledgeable about the local history and wild life and will go out of his way to find any species one shows an interest in. The dusk trip is breathtaking with...

Captain Rodney Raffield is a fifth generation native guide who knows the history, ecology, and wildlife of the Ten Thousand Islands area like a textbook. He only does private party tours, and he was easy to interact with. Having grown up there (his family actually founded the modern stone crab fishing industry in that area), he knew where to go...

My husband and I and another couple had a really special time with Rodney on a trip at dusk to see all the hundreds of species come in to roost for the night in the mangroves of Chokoloskie. Rodney is so knowledgeable and spent lots of time talking about the wildlife and history of the area. The way he can...

The Everglades Backcountry Experience with Capt. Rodney Raffield in Chokoloskee, FL [--] was awesome!
It took us about an hour to drive from Marco Island HIlton Resort. Rodney is a genuinely likeable guy who is extremely accommodating. We were supposed to do the bird watching but when my husband expressed interest in fishing, he immediately handed him a rod and...

A friend and I recently went on a four-hour trip with Rodney. We especially wanted to visit the Watson place (as in Peter Matthiesen's book Shadow Country) and to see this portion of the Everglades. Better than the Watson place were the gators on every bank, tons of birds and Rodney's information on growing up in the area and life...

We had an incredibly informative and flexible guide in Capt. Rodney, who took us about the maze of the 10,000 Island area of the nw Everglades without the need for a map or gps. He took us where the fish, birds and gators were, and showed us the most pristine, quiet and beautiful areas of the Everglades within which he...

Had a great day. Saw interesting birds, dolphins, and gators. Even caught a few fish. Would go again for sure.

This is our second year doing a fishing charter with Captain Rodney. After a great experience last December, there was no questions but that we would re-book with him. He is an exceptional host who knows how to find the fish, and has an appreciation for the nature beauty of the region. Rodney's flexibility regarding the activities of the day...

My Dad and I booked a morning fishing trip with Captain Rodney. It was our first fishing experience in the Everglades. It was awesome! We caught around 40 fish in four hours and his techniques for catching many different kinds of fish, worked excellent! I caught one of the biggest sea trout I have ever seen. And we caught several...
