Lots of shops and restaurants. Great views from the area and it is located right on the docks. You could see the fresh catch of the day for each boat.

Great access from Holiday Surf and Racquet. Took the water taxi back and forth, so fun. Would highly recommend the Harbor. So many fun things to do. Great for families.

I visted the harbor while in Destin and it was not what I expected. They advertised all these attractions that they had but when we got there we were not impressed. They did not offer half of what they said they did. Although some things were being built, their advertising was misleading.

Lots of great places to eat, shop or just walk around. Activities for kids to enjoy, too. Lots of paddle boards, jet skis, YOLO boards to rent.

I moved here in dec 12. Been here a number of times with visitors from out of town. It's the epicenter of " non-beach" destin. Tons of charters, great sightseeing for an after meal walk. The new harbor area is vastly improved from a collection of so-so shops in the past. The area has a carnival feel to it now with games, good, and boats available. That said, it is a ways from the beach so if you stay here do not expect sand.

The harbor walk is a nice area for a stroll with lots of restaurants around. There was live music outside near A.J.'s which added to the ambiance. There are also lots of little shops and some activities for older kids reminiscent of a fair/carnival-type of atmosphere. I think it's worth going to check it out, but I prefer the Destin... More
