We have camped at Henderson for years, tent and camper. The campsites are spotless, very private by landscape and they have the cleanest air conditioned showers. The beach area is reserved for campers only and it feels private as well. Love this campground, there is no comparison.

Nature walks, the white sand beach .. great for an afternoon or camping. Right in town. Area has convenient shelter house/showers and is really close to Destin, restaurants - even major shopping across the highway. Great for casual beach and nature exploring or for longer term camping.

We made a visit to Henderson Beach. Our kids loved the water and caught minnows. The water is so clear and light green. Bring your goggles and masks. Our friend found a live starfish on the bottom. This beach is a hidden gem and must see if you are driving through.

We always visit Henerson Beach State Park when we are not at a coast property. It is clean, the staff is friendly, it is safe and we just enjoy how well it is taken care of.

We stayed at Comfort Inn across the street and paid $6 a day to enter the park (you can get a free pass to come in and out as you please). It was totally worth it for us. The beaches were uncrowded and beautiful. We will visit again. :)

Gorgeous, non-crowded beach, pavilions, clean bathrooms. Definitely worth $6 entrance fee to come and go as you please. :)

The beach is very clean as are the restrooms. Nice picnic areas as well. Henderson beach is centrally located just off Hwy 98. The cost to enter is well worth and you can come and go all day.

Same as Gulf National Sea Shore: I am a local and a boat owner, so I don't have to hang out at the beach. There is very little parking unless you go to a National (State) park. The parks are well maintained and they have bathrooms, picnic tables, boardwalks to the beach, and showers. There is a small charge to... More

When in Destin, we love going to Henderson Beach. Sugar white sand and the clear waters from the Emerald Coast. Yes, there is an entrance fee ($6 per car), but I think that eliminates some of the crowd and makes it a more family centered beach. The covered pavilions and bathroom facilities are well kept. We've never had an issue... More
