It's not too big, but, we tried to hit the museum with our little dude after watching an IMAX movie, and that was too much for our 4 year old. Seemed like a lot of the stuff was in ill repair. Will go back another time for just the museum, but wouldn't do the move/museum combo again.

I love a good IMAX film.. And I always loved this museum, having come at least 453 times for various school trips. The collection is fun and serves as a great day out for the family!

Fish tanks, a simulated Everglades ride and a "trip" to Mars, lots of hands-on activities, medically used lazers to heal the human body, and airplane cockpits to get into and "pilot" but....no gems, rocks and minerals? I was disappointed! I'll give the Museum of Discovery and Science a chance to include them before returning. I'll call first!

I bought tickets to take my family to see "The Amazing Spider Man". When I called to make reservation, the operator asked if it was my first visit at the Museum. I told her it was! She included free passes to the Museum with my movie ticket purchase. It does cost to go into the Museum, so if you are... More

This is a really good hands-on science museum for kids 4 and up (our daughter is 10 and loves science centers). There is a play and discovery center on the first floor for smaller kids. The exhibit on Florida's ecology, including the river otter environment, is the highlight of the place. Unlike some reviewers, practically all the exhibits were working.... More

As parents of four year old twins, we've been to many of these hands on museums. Marbles, in Raleigh near our home, is one of the best. So, we were very disappointed to find that, despite being almost three times the price of Marbles, many of the exhibits here either weren't working properly, or were entirely non-functional. In addition, we... More

The museum is great for those any ages. This museum is not about "don't touch this", it's about "try it, push this button". Another good reason to visit the museum is a price. As a participant of Summer Saving Pass (SSP) it costed me less than $15.00.

...that was the day we went, a random Friday in early April. We ended up going back on the Sunday and we could have spent all day there. Lots of kid friendly things to do, see and play with. We got through 1/2 the museum in 4 hours.
