Lined with gigantic Royal Palm trees this street is quite unique. Once a cattle road, the street now has beautiful older homes, each a little different.

The "City of Palms" gets its name partially from this tree-lined street that once was the "Cattle Trail" down to the Punta Rassa docks. It is now lined with fine homes. Just avoid it at "Rush Hour", since it does get congested.
It was a great day brilliant sun a breeze every now an then.We just toured Mcgregor blvd and as far as you. Could see palms. I missed something why is this an attraction in Florida?
I was surprised to see this as an attraction. There was really no "ooh, ahh" moments driving this road. Its a very nice driving by the Edison Estates( which I have not been inside yet, but i will ). Beautiful drive down McGregor with all of its Royal Palms from Colonial Blvd to Downtown Fort Myers. Along the way you will pass the Edison & Ford Winter Estates.
Beautiful drive. The stately royal palm trees were all provided to the city of Fort Myers by Thomas Edison. They line the entire route. Some gorgeous homes and neighborhoods along here also. Will take you all the way to the beaches, or the Edison and Ford Summer homes.
It's worth taking the drive down McGregor. I wasn't sure what all the hype was about until I drove down this picturesque blvd.
The drive down McGregor Blvd has it all, beautiful homes, wonderful scenery, nice foliage and it doesn't cost a penny! Also leads you to the Edison and Ford Estate when driving from the south beaches area.
Don't miss this! It's beautiful and even better, it's free! Try to drive the entire length of the boulevard. It takes you south if you are going to Sanibel.
