We found the site in a listing of attractions but couldn't really find much on it. Our Tom-Tom directed us there ( we were close by at another site) and found the place to be shut down... gates were blocked off. Unsure if shut down for good or during apparent road construction.

You pay only to park, and one hour is enough. You see the manatees in the wild, docile as they are. Bring a camera. The pavilion has excellent educational posters and video. It was one of the most enjoyable days we have had. We really did see lots of manatees up close. The captain was... More

The captain is a great guy, very knowledgable about the manatees and the area in general. He made sure that everyone on the boat had their fill of the manatees before we started back. He... More

This river tour was really fun! Definitely worth the money! The captain is really good and we saw at least 40 manatees. We went in january and i suggest packing a sweatshirt because once the boat gets going it gets a little chilly. Also there is no bathroom on the boat so make sure you go before you leave the... More

we went to manatee world because friends recommended them. It was one of the most enjoyable boat rides I have ever taken. The captain was pleasent and very informative, even the kids enjoyed the views and the narration. I will definitly recommend to anyone who wants to see manatees up close
