I would give this a better review, except the day we went, there were high seas, and the visibility was poor. However, I could tell the coral was beautiful, and the Statue would be great to see

Actual statue is interesting to visit, but for diving it is highly over rated. The site is very busy and you're likely to run into other divers. Best avoid this until you've exhausted all the other wonderful reefs and wrecks.
Better in person than in pictures. We took a tour with Keys Diver. Great deal, great snorkeling. One of the deeper reefs which allows for some really awesome sea life. Spent about 45 minutes at the Christ of the Deep. Saw reef shark, turtles, awesome fish. Highly recommend if in the keys
Plenty of fish and undersea life, Christ statue is interesting and covered in corals. If you have only one chance to go snorkeling in the upper keys, this is a great choice.
We weren’t even diving or snorkeling due to two year old twins but were on a ‘glass bottom’ boat tour of the reefs. I didn’t even know this statue was part of the tour but you see it on so many things that when I looked down directly above it, I immediately knew what it was. Pretty cool!
Take a trip with Keys Diver for an easy snorkel view of a memorable sight. And the local flora and fauna.
You must snorkel/dive here. In fact take as many snorkel trips as you can...the "experience" is out in the water when your in the Keys!
We lucked out and planned our trip the same day Homestead ARB was hosting their airshow, not many folks out on the water. Had the place to our lonesomes...
You can take a boat out to snorkel over the statue or you can dive the site. I recommend the dive especially on a high tide so you can spend some time down at the base of the statue and enjoy the entire reef. There are boats that go out of John Pennekamp. Worth the trip and inspiring!
FUn dive with very pretty fish and surrounding reefs. loyt's of underwater things to see and take pictures off. Sad to see that the Lionfish has invaded teh top of the rock though.
