Superb dive site! I used Amoray operation with their great vessel (amoray.com/contact-us/), 50Min. cruise to the Duane. Read my full report about them under "Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort".

I dived this wreck in March 2013, the waves and current at the surface were brutal but on the wreck the current was mild. Goliath Grouper (at least 480 Ibs) greated us at the bow with multiple resident Great Barracuda. Fantastic for photo opertunities and good for Tec training but due to depth bottom time is limited if diving on...

6 dives on the Duane and I've always had sea turtles! Love it! Horizon Divers has always made the trip out amazing and they let us get two dives on the wreck where a bunch of Key Largo shops will only do one and then they go to the shallow reefs.
Very nice wreck site with great variety of fish and invertebrates, although the current was atrocious.
According to the dive shop Duane usually has a strong current, so I suppose it's more enjoyable for advanced divers.
Around the site, I saw a sea turtle, stingray, a couple of goliath groupers, sea cucumber, etc.
There were decent swim throughs too, where...

monster eels near the props biggest ive ever seen depht 121ft. i only did one dive on this wreck so i didnt see the entire thing
My favorite...I liked it better than Speigel Grove. It is deeper but lots more wild life and smaller so you can see most of it in a normal dive. No current when I dove it but my time in Largo proved to me the current can change minute by minute so be safe and convervative...
The Duane is a great dive. Unlike the Spiegel Gropve which takes many dives to see, you can get a really good look at the Duane in one dive. It still can be challenging because of depth and currents, so you should have the appropriate level of certification and experience. We've been seeing bull sharks there and we've seen baby...

I was amazed at the size of the ship. This was a great introduction to wreck diving. We were over warned about the surface current. It was there but I've been in much worse. There is alot to see and do on this wreck and we barely scratched the surface. Saw a Bull Shark and Black Tips and a sea...

Dispite heavy current this was a great dive site. We dove there twice and saw large bullsharks both times. Must be advanced and experianced for this site.
Apparantly we dropped lucky with the Duanne, we were told there was always a current, sometimes quite strong. We dived twice with no current on different days. Brilliant dive, loads of life and the wreck looks amazing. Needed more than 2 dives to fully explore though.
