Growth on the wreck was very good but did not see a lot of fish on the dive site. The wreck is scattered and there are no penetration points so not a good dive to do a wreck training certification dive. Good to bring a Open Water student to as it is an easy dive and interesting for a new... More

While the water was chilly, 73, this was a fun wreck for those who don't like wrecks because there is so much marine life and coral growth on it.

This is a great dive for someone who doesn't feel quite ready to take on the deeper wrecks (80' plus) available in the Keys. There are eels here, a variety of fish to be seen, it is easy to navigate, and you can't get lost. Our photos turned out great because of the shallow (20 - 40') depth, and we... More

The wreck of the Benwood was one of our favorite stops while diving in Key Largo. We found the site easy enough to navigate for our first "independent" dive and the variety of life was excellent!

The Benwood is such a fun and pretty wreck to dive in Key Largo. We can always find eels, turtles, lobster, and tons of fish! A top night dive choice for Horizon Divers and boy does it look wonderful at night! Try to aim for a full moon because it looks even better with a little ambient lighting ;)

If you want to see twisted metal for a steampunk sort of feel, it's worth a visit. If you want to see a rich variety of sealife, save up the cost of a couple trips to Florida and go to Hawaii.

Best bet to see an octopus at night. Look into the ship through the holes on top or underneath the metal at the stern of the ship.

This is a poor excuse of a second wreck dive. Make sure what ever group you dive with they give two dives on the Spiegle or Duaine, not a trip to this pile of metal.

Great place to take the family. Diving or snorkeling is good. A multitude of fish. Great water. Good area, not too busy.

Pretty worn out wreck, but saw some great sea life there. Worth doing. Big eels, rays, and lots of fish.
