The walk on this bridge is absolutely beautiful!! I think it is a little over two miles each way but at the end you can visit Pigeon Key. We walked it early in the morning to avoid the strong sun, so unfortunately no one was on the island but it was fun wandering around to check it out. You can...

Sunset was fantastic. During calm days you can see all sorts of sea life including tarpon, rays, sharks etc.

You can walk or bike along the east section of the old bridge, and the water was beautiful, but it was a little monotonous - there's water, water, and more water. And of course it's right next to the new bridge so lots of traffic going by. Didn't see any fish etc. I'd rather spend my time at the beach...

Make sure you stop for some refreshment at this wonderful café just before the 7-mile bridge (heading South). Recommended in Lonely Planet Guide and did not disappoint - wonderful home made chowder and crab cakes all served by friendly waitress - a great experience! Seven mile bridge a once in a lifetime experience - amazing views of Gulf of Mexico...

This is a historical, cultural, and ecological landmark. The Seven Mile Bridge defines the Keys and Marathon itself. Take the walk to Pigeon Key in the morning or for sunset and you'll understand why it is so paramount that this iconic bridge be protected. Show up early to take a dog from the shelter for a walk!!

The 7 mile bridge is Surrounded by absolutely beautiful waters! Makes the drive to key west well worth it! Must see!

A scenic ride on our motorcycle....really enjoyed the view of the gulf/ocean. This was an almost endless stretch of beauty to behold and enjoy.

This is a beautiful ride across the bridge. The water colors on both the Atlantic side and the Gulf side are pretty shades of blue and green. I would love to say this is a "must do" if you are going to Key West, but in reality, it is a "have to do" as there is no other way to...
