Nice waves - beach is more shells than sand so not good for small children and no bathroom facilities at all.

This is my favorite part of Marco Island Beach to visit for shelling. If you go to the very southern tip, you will finds the jackpot of seashells. There is public parking here, but they charge eight bucks.

The cleanest of all the worlds beaches. The nicest tourist come here. 4 & 5 star hotels everywhere and beautiful timeshares for families. Lots of great eating places and not one tourist trap on the whole island, except for maybe hotel dining. This island is inhabited mostly by residents. Every good thing you find at home is here.

This white sandy beach is perfect in May for a Florida wedding or just an anniversary get a way. The best of both, shells, fishing and nice sand beach. A short walk from the ample parking area. Parking fees are very small and good at Tigertail beach as well.

As we walked along the access to the beach we wondered why so many people were leaving... A small corner of the beach, which is a packed-shell beach not a sand beach, was cordoned off for public use. Masses of people were crowded very close together in the tiny corner. The rest of the beach was a construction site complete... More

The title says it all. Direct access to the Gulf with $8 a day parking. Marco Island is not a beach friendly place. Very private about sharing their beach. Get there early the parking lot fills up quickly. The Hilton just added $10 parking. Take this service if available,it is a shorter walk to the beach. The restaurant at South... More

Is the red tide still on Marco? It was bad the end of February and caused much concern to everyone with coughing, itching eyes etc. do they plan on doing anything for next year?
