We drove all the way here from south Florida as we have always wanted to see the Florida Caverns. It was amazing. Our tour leader was Bob and he was great! Very informative, and passionate about protecting the cave. There were really nice formations and we even got to see a cave cricket! After our cave tour we did a... More

Great place to learn about caves and to actually experience being in one. The tour guides are awesome and it's very rarely crowded during weekdays, so you get personal attention from the tour guides. They encourage you to ask questions and have an answer for all of them. The grounds around the actual caverns are lovely as well.

Our grandchildren are into video games and other electronic entertainment, so it is hard to get them interested in the "real world". However, they really enjoyed the cave tour and still talk about it. The guide was really good with children and we all learned a lot about caves and the Florida aquafer. Very entertaining for all.

We got there late. Last tour of the day. We were the only ones so we got a more personalized tour. The young guide/ranger was nice, took the time to answer our questions and made us feel welcomed. Word of warming---this is small ---tight ---spaces so if you don't like that---be forewarned. I do not tolerate tight spots but the... More

The Southwest Georgia Photography Club (which I am a member of) arranged for an after hours tour of the cavern because we wanted to take tripods and they are not allowed during the scheduled tours. Although there was a charge (contact park office for rates) it was well worth the expense because we got two hours in the cavern. Ranger... More

We actually visited this attraction in July 1993, but I cannot date it that far back. As the state website says that this is one of the few state parks with dry (air-filled) caves and is the only state park in Florida to offer cave tours to the public. It is a pretty great place to visit. The guide takes... More

As Florida residents we took the Florida Caverns for granted and only made a few day trips to see them. We decided to camp there for a few nights, planning to use them as a base for day drips. Fortunately or unfortunately, we found things there we had never seen and spent most of the three days exploring this one... More

We spent a very informative and fun couple of hours (we were on a road trip) to stop and take the tour of these magnificent caves. As we were limited by time, we toured with 20 young home schooled students so it was lively and high energy. The Park Naturalist was wonderful with the children and adults alike (don't brush... More

Florida Caverns SP is just fascinating! Not only the beautiful formations in the caverns (not as big/impressive as Luray in Virginia, for example; however, great to see) but the wondeful mystic forest that is above them!! The sinuous trails let you see some great rock formations, nice flowers, swamp areas and enormous beautiful trees. Both sides of the road to... More

The family and I drove from four hours away to see the caves but were disappointed because the cave tour was sold out. We got there at 10:00 am on a Monday and that was too late. It broke my four year-olds heart. Thanks florida caverns for ruining the day.
