We holiday each year from England but I'm embarrassed to say this was my first visit to the Veterans Memorial Park, better late than never I guess. We love the view of the water and bridge from the park. Memorials are great, lots of room for the kids to run. The helicopter is always a hit with the kids.

"Mini Wall" is a poor copy of the original masterpiece in D.C. Everyone should see the original It is an emotional experience. This isn't.

Rasmussen"s sculpture is phenomenal. He"s Director of the Naval Aviation Museum, and a few other things like an ex-Blue Angel. Want to know more? Just Google Robert Rasmussen.

Peaceful. The adjoining park is beautiful for a stroll and the Veterans park is perfect for quiet contemplation. Both parks are excellent places to view the 4th of July fireworks.
