This is a National Park and an entrance fee is required. Can't remember the exact price, but it was not too much. This is where the whole country started, old St Augustine and this fort tells it all. Be sure to catch the canon firings on the weekend. It is so cool. Bring the kids, they will love it. Must... More

If you are in St. Augustine, this is definitely a must-see attraction even if you are not a history buff. My recommendation is to attend the "talk" so that a park ranger can explain the history of the attraction to you. You will learn so much more about the attraction than reading the pamphlet that they hand you at the... More

Had fun touring fort. Only issue I had with the tour is it is self guided and you have to read every display. No guides provided by National Park.

I had never to been to a fort before so to see this one was incredible. The stories were very interesting and it was great to learn a little bit more about our wonderful state.

This is a great place to visit and see what life must have been like then for the soldiers and how they defended the area from this vantage point.

This was the first time our kids had been here. They loved it, despite the rain and wind. I think they felt like explorers and it peaked their curiosity to learn more about this area when they got back home. Even had me order some books about the fort.

I suppose that kids and military types might be more interested in the Castillo than some others but this is an interesting piece of American history. Ponce de Leon was visiting here way back in 1513 and the Spanish founded St. Augustine in the 1560s. The fort is not that old but was built many decades before the Spanish turned... More

It's a really nice place to visit! The area is so tranquil, and you can stop and sit and watch the water from the rooftop, take beautiful pictures, and learn A LOT all at the same time! Definitely worth stopping in to see!

One of the most amazing parts of this towns history. It is a must see and they even fire off cannons! Great view of the town from the top. Lots of reading and walking so be prepared.
