Lots of american history and the tour guide was very informative. Only about 30 minutes long so won't take much of your time but well worth it!

We visited the Ximenez-Fatio house on a recent trip with my wife's sister and her husband. The tours are scheduled and we missed one by just a few minutes and we almost didn't go back for the next tour. What a mistake that would have been. We learned so much, not only about the house and it's history but also...

Such a great tour! Went on a rainy Saturday and the hostess was so nice! I learned so much history about St Augustine from the very interesting 40 minute tour. Definitely worth it!
Go see it. You wont be dissapointed. It is a good place to visit for all ages. The building has been well restored to the period and the grounds are well kept. The price is very reasonable for a guided tour as well.
I was with the Florida Folklore Society for a meeting and we toured the Ximenez- Fatio House in St. Augustine, Florida. I have not visited a place set back in time since I was a child. Everything about the house from the furnishings to the kitchen, washtubs, bedding and clothing were from the 1800's. The guide was a delight, extremely...

Visiting the house is highly recommended to anyone looking for something fun, interesting, and affordable to do while in St. Augustine. You're walked through an old house dating back to the late 1700s and it's a real treat!
Out of all the historic buildings in St. Augustine, we found this one to be the most authentic and interesting. The guide was extremely informative and added a lot of personal history about the women that ran this boarding house. Well worth the small admission price!
Really got a very good feel for life in the early 1800's. Can't believe life was so tremendously different and challenging then. Hard to believe it was the same country.
Read about this on Trip Advisor, and it was rated #1. I found it very interesting and very enjoyable.
We were told that the tours were ongoing, but that is not true -- they are at set times. On our day the last tour started at 3:30 (fyi).
I recommend this, it had a low fee & was quite interesting....
