Baywalk is nice, but pricey. As the economy does worse, many stores are having to leave. There isn't nearly the variety there used to be.

We were walking around and the signs out on the interstate still advertise this attraction and the signs in the area are still up but other than the movie theatre the buildings are under demolition in a big way. Not sure why the signs would not be removed or updated to indicate it is closed during the possible renovation since...

This entire area is now closed/fenced off for public access and is being tendered to sell for renovation.
This is a good place to go see a movie. Typical large cinemaplex. The nearby parking deck is also convenient to other downtown attractions and restaurants. Unfortunately most (now, I think ALL) of the storefronts are empty. It's a sad looking place. Still I've never felt scared for my safety, even though it's deserted. It has a lot of potential....

The Muvico Theater is an excellent part of Baywalk, but where are the other stores and restaurants?? Didn't see any signs of future tenants and the place was 90% empty. Parking is easy because there were hardly any people in the place.
March 10 2013 I went to BayWalk today an saw a 10 am movie. Parked on the street. Accidentally left my cell phone in the car. It was still there when i returned after the movie. Took my elderly mother with a cane. We felt 110% safe.People even opened doors for us. We went in Muvico which has 20 theaters.Iit...

We wanted to see IMAX 3-D version of Jack the Giant Slayer playing at the Baywalk 20 in downtown St Petersburg and were pleasantly surprised.
Lots of convenient parking which is free if across from the theater entrance only (not the side parking garage). Went into the theater and it was very clean, big, and nice. Automated ticket pickup kiosks...

We wanted to see a movie and since it was a more adult type movie (Quartet directed by Dustin Hoffman and starring Maggie Smith) it was only playing at the Baywalk 20 in downtown St Petersburg.
This is one of the nicest movie theatres we have been in. Big comfortable reclined chairs with wide armrests and good space for cupholders....

Things have gone from bad to worse and the only remaining Store has now moved. Furthermore, the plans for a rebirth have fallen through due to the eccomomic state of the Country
