This little 275 acre oasis was a welcome respite to the overdevelopment rampant in coastal Florida. The staff are most helpful and kids would enjoy the displays of rescued birds and animals

The walkways are better than they once were and the flora has been allowed to grow in a bit more, its location does not breed a sense of safety. It's a lovely site, but venture into that part of St. Petersburg at your own risk.

We stopped here for the 1pm guided buggy ride. We didn't find the signs for the park very easy to find but eventually we managed to get to the preserve. Not much else to do there though. Nature center is so-so. Neighborhood is not great anymore though. There are usually fun events going on during the weekends and holidays

The staff is very welcoming when you enter. They explain the park and show you areas of interest on the map. You walk around at your pace or you can take the tram tour, very nice and informative (the driver was a park ranger). Lots of birds, alligators and other native animals to see. I strongly recommend for any age.

This was a great place to visit. It's relatively inexpensive to get in and when we went wasn't too busy. Early on my wife saw a Snake crossing a bridge which gave her a fright but overall it was a cathartic experience. We saw a big Aligator and felt miles from anywhere. Return to a primal landscape. We not only spent hours walking the trails but appreciated the live exhibits designed for all ages. Low key and at one's own pace, we encountered more than one alligator affording us a rare and tingling dynamic. The views are wondrous and the botanical surrounds worthy of a return trip so we became members!
