I have been to Van Wezel a number of times of the years and besides having some of the best Artist and Perfoming Arts in the area, it is nice venue .
One reviewer stated that parking is free at the Van Wezel. It is not free. The price is included in the ticket! Even though you take a cab or walk there, you are charged a parking fee. We do not appreciate the fact that drinks can be taken back to your seats. It is difficult enough to climb over people...

Located at 10th St. and Tamiami Trail, the Van Wezel books a variety of entertainment. Some of the bookings are very good. The venue itself is small enough so there really are very few, if any, bad seats. Parking is ample and free, and getting in and out is a breeze. The theater is modern, clean, and very inviting. It's...

Went to VW for Sarasota Film Festival. Really enjoyed this venue. It's in beautiful Sarasota, FL. Easy parking. The seats were very comfortable, roomy. Would be a great place to see anything, big yet had a small, intimate feeling.
We saw the group "rain" performing a BEATLES tribute. It was absolutely fantastic, the graphics used were amazing. It had the crowd on their feet many times. I have seen Diana Ross, Dame Edna Everidge and Tom Jones at this venue and always leave with the feel good factor. The seats are comfortable, the staff are very helpful, there is...

My friend and I were so looking forward to attending 50 Shades the Musical. We got in, took our seats among all the women that were hoping for the REAL Christian Grey! Low and behold, the woman that sat beside us was obnoxiously drunk and ruined the whole show for those that sat around her even spilling her drink on...

THe venue does not have an aisle down the center So if you have a prostate problem go to the bathroom b4 or you will be sunk! Dumb architect!
We saw Diana Krall here this month and last year. Parking was easy. The venue is well-located near the bay and looks nice from outside, but it has the strangest layout. For one thing, you have to enter left or right;there is no middle aisle. That means there are some 60+ seats in one row. If you're sitting near the...
