Habersham winery may not have the best wine int he world, but it is not bad either and the staff is friendly. Unlike snobbier wine areas like Napa/Sonoma and Upstate New York, Georgia wineries are still aware that they are in business of appealing to their customers. Free tastings and friendly staff make for an enjoyable experience. Habersham has the...

We had never did a wine tasting, so it was wonderful to have such a great guy behind the bar, explain how it works. He was able to help us pick out just the right wine, we bought 4 bottles and drank them all at the cabin. The prices were excellent and I found that they now can deliver to...

they have some excellent wines. I was shocked that we got 4 free tastings from the menu. Our favorites were the Grandma Betty and Scarlett. We both both and could see ourselves buying more. Definitely recommend.
We planned our trip around the wineries. This one happened to be the 1st that we came to. We spent some time at the tasting bar and chatted with the older gentleman that served us there. We left with 1/2 a case and especially enjoyed the Southern varieties. The other wineries and tasting rooms had sketchy hours/days that were not...

Or hostess, Carol, was very nice and accomodating. We were advised that we could taste (4) wines without charge, so my wife and I did exactly that...sharing them to increase the range we could try.

We visited most of the vineyards and wineries in the Helen and Dahlonega areas and enjoyed the facilties of this tasting room and adjacent antique shop. The staff was courteous and helpful, but unfortunately we could not find interesting or nice tasting wine. If travelling and tasting, include this in your itinerary, but I wouldn't expect to send much for...

This is a quaint little place which has local wine. Due to the holiday got to participate in a free wine tasting at their wine bar. They have tastings available at all times, but they are for a small fee. You can also buy wine by the glass. It all seemed very professional, yet casual. There were all types of...

We were here in April, and the server was very snooty to us. I buy about 50 bottles of wine a year from local and regional vineyards. I had been to Habersham before, so I expected the same service, but the gentleman who was working was very snooty and acted like no-one but him knew anything about wine. I majored...

Fun place to stop in and try a few. Wines. Cute place. Take home a couple bottles. It's easy - it's right on the main road through Helen.
