Recently we attended a performance of Ragtime by the Lyric Theater at the Strand and really enjoyed it. The Strand is a recently restore theater much in the style of the classic theaters of days gone by. It's a small house with a balcony, a small orchestra pit and a 24 foot wide stage to perform on. This is a... More

Have been a patron of this "Gem" of Marietta Square since it reopened four or so years ago. Have had the opportunity to see great old films shown there, from the silents, which is an awesome experience hearing Ron Carter play the pipe organ, to "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Also had the opportunity to see a couple of great bands... More

Although it is a small space upstairs for a wedding, what a unique idea. The rooftop overlooks the park and the square, which gives you a feeling of superiority...The rooms are cozy and you can decorate as you please. An elevator makes it convinient for those who would need it.

The restoration done at this old time theater is truly remarkable. This is a wonderful place to go after or before dinner and the productions we have seen were all very impressive. Highly recommend.

The Strand is a breath of fresh air to Marietta! Beautiful venue, awesome lineup, including "The Atlanta Lyric Theatre", and a quaint setting in historic Marietta Square. We've seen the theater productions "White Christmas"and Beehive" there, and it rivals the big city theaters.

Great, refurbished theater in Marietta Square. Excellent acoustics. An organ from the 1920's that takes you back in time. EXCELLENT Lyric Theater performances there - highly talented individuals. A little Broadway in old Marietta Square. highly recommend

I always enjoy the Strand. Whether it be to see a show or to attend a party, it's a great place to be. My husband and I have season tickets to the Lyric Theatre, and really enjoy taking friends. My husband saw movies there as a youngster, so the nostalgia is also a great addition.

The 1935 Art Deco theater was renovated in 2009 and is the primary home to the Atlanta Lyric Theater. The Atlanta Lyric Theater stages about 6 productions a season, including classics like Forever Plaid, Gypsy, Anything Goes, White Christmas and the list goes on. The performers are high energy, making any show they do fun to watch. They do a... More

We've been there several time to see a show there. We've found that the higher up you sit the better is the view. The more expensive seats upstairs do not offer as good a view as the as the cheaper ones/ Still it's agreat place to see ashow without having to go into Atlanta
