We visited the Mighty 8th this trip and it is definitely a must see. I had my 3 and 8 year old grandchildren with me who thoroughly enjoyed it. Our party included ages 16 days to 50 and with the exception of the youngest in our party ;), we were all fascinated by what we learned and saw.

You can easily spend your whole day @ the Mighty Eighth. Museum is quite detailed with background of how WWII started, through the war and to the present day. Exhibits are varied with a fair amount of video and audio. The B-17 Savannah plane is being rehabbed but all other aspects of the Museum were open. The logistics of what... More

We spent our Memorial Day visiting. Such a wonderful place - the Mission Experience was Awesome! Watching videos on 6-7 screens made you feel part of the action. With real footage from the war-- flying "with the crew" ; watching planes attack and being attacked; landing back at base safe and sound. Superb exhibits - so many great photos and... More

What an unexpected gem. We finally stopped aftert we passed it hundreds of times driving south on 95. The exhibits are expertly displayed and explained. You feel as if you are a part of history. It is the unsanitized version of WWII that you don't really hear about.

Well worth the cost of admission. Spent a couple of hrs. Here on Memorial day. Plenty to see and he are about not only the Mighty 8the but also WWIN and WWII overall. Touches well on Nazi Germany, how the wars evolved, those who helped and hid the allies and has a section on each women in service and the... More

World class museum right off of 95. Do yourself a big favor tho and make sure you eat prior to getting to the museum. The on-site restaurant is the antithesis of good service.

Beautiful museum with outstanding exhibits. Not very many places have a restored B-17 and theirs is in excellent shape. Not only is a beautiful museum but it is dedicated to the men of the Eighth Air Force which was founded in Savannah in 1942. The memorial gardens are a wonderful place to spend a little time. Quite a few of... More

We have visited the Mighty Eighth Museum and have watched the museum grow over the past several years. We have a family member who served in WWII and we love to make the visit with him. A great treat is when his great grandchildren come too. There are exhibits of interest to ALL ages. There are some hands on exhibits... More

A beautiful and impressive facility with great volunteers. The B-17 restoration project looks great, the Chapel and stained glass are superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
