A fun zoo in the middle of Chicago. Easy to get to and there is no admission charge for the facility. What I liked best is the information provided at each station. Kids will have a great time, however, for the younger ones, you may want to come over a couple of days. More

Hard to dislike one of the last free Zoo's in the US. Not the biggest or best of Zoo's, but they do a pretty darned good job with a limited budget and old facility! My beef was with the very expensive parking (the ONLY available!). I dont know where the money goes for the parking, but it SHOULD go to... More

We went to the zoo on a perfect day in May. Stunning weather. We had just finished a visit with our Chicago greeter and it was our drop off point. The walk in was beautiful--wonderful lagoon, great statue of Grant, nice wide pathways. Lots of others out enjoying the setting and a perfect sunny day. We were hungry after our... More

This zoo was amazing...beautiful habitats, loads of animals and very friendly staff. There was even a "farm" where children could feed the cows, see chickens hatching, climb on a real tractor, watch cows being milked....without even leaving the city. Sure wish my grandchildren had been with us. Next to the zoo is a beautiful conservatory filled with plants of all... More

Set in beautiful Lincoln Park, this free city zoo is clearly cared for by a dedicated staff and committed volunteers. More

Nice place to visit while in Chicago. Admission is free, so you can't beat that, but many of the animals were not on display when we were there, so that was a disappointment. The food service was also quite slow. Easy to get to by bus, #151, takes only 10 minutes. The Zoo is compact, so you can walk it... More

This zoo is free which is a plus. It was good for the kids, and us too. We got to visit on a beautiful day. Not all that we were expecting, but none the less, it was fun! Great for letting the kids get out and about and I myself enjoyed the walk around! Make sure to go to the... More

This was a great zoo--can you believe it's free!? It was a beautiful day and the surrounding Lincoln Park was beautiful. I was more than happy to drop $10 for 2 ice creams just to support this zoo--a great Chicago Landmark. More
