This is no longer a huge pool. There is an area for lap swimming and water slide areas cover the remainder. It appears this is all new. We stopped to view the largest hand dug pool. It is now a beautiful, modern pool area.

The pool made the news recently because it is leaking so much water that the daily water bill is $1,000. I don't know how much longer the city will decide to keep this pool. I have no inside information, but that is a lot of water!

I stopped by after the pool closed for the season just to have a look at it because it is famous. It is huge!

If you are in town during season and like to swim (or have kids that do) I would recommend giving it at least one try.

We are here for a few months. Granddaughter here to visit. She loves this pool. It took her 3 tries to pass deep water test. She can go down small slides diving board and aqua glide

The pool is huge never feels crowded many life guards always seem attentive.

Bathroom changing area clean.

2 dollars per person seems very reasonable.

They do not allow you to bring in any floats beware if rent one you have to return it when life guards take there break.

The only con there is black slimmy slippery areas but could be avoided

Was there beginning of Oct. the pool was closed for winter but I went into the gift shop near by and the friendly women working there answered all my questions. I highly recommend stopping when in Garden City.

We love the big pool! Clean and fun for all members of family. Small tubes available to rent for only $1. Kiddie area could not be more perfect along with splash pad.

There is something for everyone at the Big Pool in Garden City. A huge pool that doesn’t seem crowded even when there’s a big crowd. Pool offers splash pad, nice kiddie pool, slides, boards, challenge course as well as lap swimming area. There is ample space for sunning with many lounge type chairs. Best part is a $2 admission.

First I would like to start this review by saying that the facilities and pool itself are great, well kept and very clean. However, if you are looking for a quality pool experience the BIG pool is NOT the place to go. Everything, and I mean everything at this pool costs money - You'd like to use a tub, hour rental, you'd like to use the water fountain, go down a slide etc. The low admission cost is deceiving. But all that is fine in dandy in comparison to what I would say is a real problem: The pool is ran and life-guarded by high school students who in my handful of times visiting this pool, spend their time dancing to the blaring music, yelling at one another from across the pool, chatting with their guard-partner... basically anything under the sun instead of supervising the people swimming. Believe me, I wont be back

Pool admission prices are amazingly affordable! Pool has a couple of age friendly options! Loved it and I think it's definitely worth the price.

Pool in Garden City, KS was fun for the whole family. Bigs slides for the bigger kids and the kiddie section for the little ones. The pool also offer a spray area that consists of different poles that spray water in different directions for those littles that prefer not get into the pool.

we discovered this pool on a recent kansas road side attractions trip. the entry is $2!!! and we ended up swimming for 4 hours...the pool really is big, they now divided it into partitions with walls running the length of the pool, but you can easily get from one side to the other. there are plenty of lifeguards, some of them sit on high chairs in the middle of the pool!!!! there are slides, kiddie pool section, lap pool section and the really big deep end. there is a concession stand and lockers. we enjoyed our time, it was well worth visiting and cooling off on a hot summer day - oh, and there was hardly anybody there!!!!
