A very amazing historical site. Definitely go there. It won't take to long, and is very cool, for men and women alike.

You will be blessed if you talk to the woman who is living and breathing the history of the Ingalls family. She knows it like she was an eye witness. She is the treasure you will find here if she is here when you come.
As a fan of the books, I am fascinated by life on the prairie! Although this is a replica, it in incredibly well-crafted and hosted by a living history expert, who can answer period questions and provide demonstrations. Next to the home are three other structures: a post office, one-room school house, and another larger home that acts as the...

Really should not miss this historical museum. It is small but worth the stop. There is no admission fee but donations are happily accepted. There are many historical photos and a little cabin - all very interesting.

You can see what a classroom looked like, the original post office, the house with the hand made furnishings. The guide who...

We went during the praire festival and it was fun for the whole family. Some people were in costume and there were a lot of period pieces for sale at reasonable prices. There were interactive areas set up to experience the times first hand and volunteers to answer questions.
It was a part of TRUE history. real people real events and a real place not a hollywood make believe people about a real place.
We visited this place as the first stop of our Laura Ingalls Wilder tour in which we visited most of the places she lived. Since we had planned this tour for months, had read and re-read the books, and were listening to the audiobooks as we drove we were anxious to finally get to a LIW spot. That may have...
