The Swope's Cars of Yesteryear Museum features vehicles ranging from the early 1900's to the 1960's in a variety of makes and models in both original condition and restored condition. After years of planning and nine months of construction, Swope`s Cars of Yesteryear opened in May 1999. The collection consists of sixty magnificent machines of the past, all museum quality. These are exciting automobiles that stir memories of long ago days when motoring was a fun-filled adventure. Our museum allows car fans and collectors to admire the progression of automobiles over time. Our collection includes antique cars like the 1914 Model T and the 1925 Pierce Arrow to classics like the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and the 1956 Thunderbird. « less

cars in spectacular shape. The owner is a 91 year old car dealer(museum in back of dealer's car lot in brand new museum). This building is separate from the dealer car lot and NO ONE will try to sell you anything while viewing the cars at no cost to you. We spent time talking to him and he wants to... More

This was the highlight of our vacation. We found the brochure at the hotel and stopped in. What a find, dozens of old "real old" cars all that looked like the day they left the show room. We were able to imagine them being driven around everday. A real trip back in time. And all free! A gift from the... More

Even though I have lived in the area for some time, I just hadn't taken the opportunity to check it out --- MY MISTAKE!! The personal collection of rare vintage cars, and even some muscle cars, is amazing. The lady staff attendant was very cordial and provided some personal insight as to the history of the cars. I certainly plan... More

The lady that greeted us was very nice and added information that was not on the car plaques. Not a large place but very nice with beautiful cars.

A phenomenal collection of vintage and some extremely rare automobiles. This is the second time we have been there. There were 50 cars on display, all personally owned by Mr. Swopes. The lady attendant was extremely knowledgable about the cars and answered all questions. There are cars for everyone; muscle cars, Rolls Royces, Cadilllacs, touring cars, etc. The museum is... More

Awesome collection of old cars in pristine condition. We personally liked the 50 s & 60 s vintage cars, but they are all very nice to look at. The attendant was very courteous and helpful. We would love to see a Tucker in the collection in the future. Oh yeah, the museum is free too. Where else can you say... More
