Incredible to find a museum which showcases a spiritual journey, and while many artifacts here have to do with the history of Muhammad Ali's boxing career, the story told regards his journey through a remarkable public life and a deep private one. You can see boxing, or civil disobedience, or civil rights evidenced here, but the common theme is that... More

Allow 2 to 3 hours for a visit to this incredible tribute to a great boxer and citizen. Ali was ahead of his times and the museum reminds you of all of the contributions he has made to the world. Again, be sure to allow time to see everything. We went back a second day. This is an inspiring place!

I have been lucky enough to be in many Museums around the world in my life, and this one is really worthwhile. My fathe was a Box lover, and I grew up watching Cassius Clay's fights, ...many of them. I never understood why he had to quit fighting when he was the best, and this are the kind of issues... More

The museum is top notch and a must-see if you're in the city. Even if you're not a fan, and don't know anything about him, there is so much multi-media presentations and interactions that you will not be bored. Of course it's nice to see the museum when there's relatively few people so it was perfect for me and my... More

I was in town working for about 7 months. I am a fan of boxing but my wife is not. We went during one of her visits and loved it. My wife was amazed to learn how much more there was to Ali outside of the ring. In my 7 month stay I visited the Center 6 times. I highly... More

Really enjoyed the time we spent here -- 3 hours & it could have been more if time permitted. Films all around to view & experience Ali's life. Main film on 5th floor is a must see. Great interaction in ring & hitting "the bag" with instructions for both! Truly Ali is a great athlete & one who cares deeply... More

I visited the museum because I am a huge Ali fan. My day was nearly ruined by a visiting tour of 5th graders from a nearby school. They were running around screaming at each other and that made it very difficult to enjoy. I'd call ahead to make sure that they didn't have a tour of young kids that day.... More

You really need to see this museum when you are in town. A good lesson in the "way things were" back then.

This place was fun and educational. My wife, who has no interest whatsoever in boxing, still found it very interesting as well. Your visit starts with a short film on Ali's life, with a focus not only on the ring, but on the sociopolitical aspects of his career as well. The exhibits are also very well done, and tied into... There was whole lot more to Muhammad Ali than boxing, and this Center tells the story well. Don't panic when you start at the fifth floor and realize you've spent a hour - most of the attractions are on 5 and 4. We learned a lot, and enjoyed ourselves doing it.
