This is a great one-stop for Louisiana History. Reasonably priced and excellent staff are just added bonus to quality displays.

We got a good parking spot right outside of the museum. The men at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The museum is on two floors - first floor is the history of Louisiana and the third floor is geographical. There were any videos and great displays of memorabilia. There was a section on Mardi Gras with lots of...

Very entertaining museum with lots of hands on experience that will entertain adults as well as children. Make sure you see the shrimp trawler that the building was built around as well as the Mardi Gras float that lets you feel the experience of being in one of the parades. Take time to see the tribute to Huey Long, former...

This is a very comprehensive museum that you can spend hours in if you wish, and it is located very near the State Capitol which is also a very interesting place to go.

This museum has something for everyone. It has great science exhibitions, as well as art by regional artists. The exhibitions are continually changing, so who knows what you'll get to see. It's well worth the trip.
Liked the information and history. It did not have any information about hurricane Katrina yet. It was free so a great stop to spend 1-2 hours at. Do not miss the third floor as that was as enjoyable as the first.
very nice little museum about the history of the acadians and louisiana and the time periods. if you want to learn about louisiana this is the place to come. it even has a shrimp boat inside. it has a 1st and a 3rd floor. 1st floor was better than 3rd floor but all in all it was very nice with...
