Not being a native of Louisiana I found this experience to be very interesting and informative. Would definitely go again to share with anyone else.

Small fort, but interesting history. Friendly staff and the museum is pretty cool, I thought it was worth the stop. Good location near historic district and easy to access. It also has a good view of the caney river.

We were glad that we viewed the video about life in the Fort and the history of the Fort before we visited the Fort itself. The curator and the various rangers working in the Fort were most kowledgeable and obviously very passionate about their work. They were involved in some maintenance of the bread oven and various other aspects of... More

We really enjoyed our trip here and the tour guide was very informative but it wasn't as detailed as I had imagined it would be . Not alot to it to be quite honest.

After touring the initial entry building, where you see artifacts, diaramas, and a short movie, you tour the fort where park rangers explain what you are seeing and how it was used in everyday life.

Interesting place with a good museum. The video was kind of lame, but the people dressed up in the fort did a good job. I would go back for sure as it is a good look back.

We loved the walk down to the fort - was quite beautiful and peaceful. The fort itself was interesting yet disappointing as we expected to see staff in period costume and found no one.

I thought that the video that they showed in the theatre was very well done. The fort was reproduced and put somewhat where they thought the original site was located. There was a man at the fort dressed in the period costume who explained things and answered questions. It was a hot day and it was nice that they had... More

The short video, walk through the exhibits, and tour was interesting. Tour guides were well informed and answered all of our questions. Entire visit only took about 45 minutes.
