Screw Auger Falls is a beautiful scene (don't get too close and fall in!) and has some good places to swim or soak above the falls. Falls are about 23' tall. Great picnic area. Moose Cave is a great short hike through the woods to a 45 foot deep canyon in the bedrock. Mother Walker Falls isn't as exciting as... More

Well groomed trails. Easy access for a quick walk in to view Mountains and streams. This is an out of the way place that's worth the drive to experience pure nature.

You could spend several days exploring this park. There are several easy walks to waterfalls and an excellent more difficult hike up to a viewpoint that looks out on the valley. Great place to take in the fall leaves.

What else could one want? We took several small hikes as we drove through the park. Screw Augur Falls was thronged with visitors. Moose Cave was deserted, but we thought it as good a stop of Screw Augur. Table Rock hike following the orange blazes was very challenging crossing the granite boulders and slabs, but the view was amazing!

We made a loop out of Bethel that took us through Grafton Notch. The whole drive was beautiful, but the state park was probably the densest area of beauty if one were in a time crunch. We walked out to Moose Cave. It's good for a short hike in the woods. And walked out to Screw Auger Falls. It's a... More

Easy, short, beautiful walks for waterfalls. Moose Cave was another unique experience. All this is within easy driving distance from Bethel!

We are an older middle-aged couple, and while my husband can walk for hours without problems, I have a bad knee and back. This lovely place has many short and very easy hikes in the most beautiful scenery we've seen in a long time. Lots of photo ops!!

Wife and I spent a rainy afternoon at the park yesterday. We saw and walked to two water falls, and then tackled a 2.4 mile hike on a section of the Appalachian Trail. Do not even think of taking this hike without good shoes that grip on wet rocks and roots. Even though you end up only 900 feet above... More
