We visited the Boothbay Railway Village as part of a 90th Birthday celebration for my dad. The youngest in our group was not quite 2. We all enjoyed the train ride, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. It was a little drizzly, but we still explored the "Village Vehicle Display" which had many vintage cars and trucks, as well... little German steam engines on a 2 foot guage short loop track. some old preserved buildings and some very nice staff...but this place is waaay short on money and upkeep and clearly exists to draw tourists who are not train buffs. Kinda sad for folks like us who love steam engines and tourist railroads.

Great outdoor/nice weather activity. Take a ride on the train, see the little village, the old storefronts, car museum, gift shop, and my favorite......the in progress, Model Train, in one of the back buildings. Lots of time, talent, and effort in building this model and fun to see it operate!

It has been several years since we took our kids to the Boothbay Railway Village but I remember enjoying it very much as did our kids. They offer a very nice train ride for the whole family.

Took my 5 year old and we had a blast. Between being able to ride on the train, and checking out the old cars we had a lot of fun. Walking threw the village, and exploring inside of the houses was cool too! Don't forget to check out the salt and pepper shaker house.

Narrow-gauge train is fun for all ages; car buffs will enjoy the collection of antique autos. Historic buildings moved to the site house various collections of antiques from fire engines to toys.

We enjoyed all the exhibits and of course the train ride. The grandkids are 11, 8 and 6 and there's something for all of them and us. (Grandparents.)

My family and I have been to the Railway Village on numerous occasions; I've taken my own kids, and my grandchildren as well. We've seen Thomas the Tank Engine, the Haunted Halloween, and visited on a summer afternoon. Good fun for everyone.

Fun for kids AND adults. Startled me in my seat! It was dark and there were 'things' in the dark . And 'thinks' unexpectedly ON the train. We knew it was for fun but it was still a good time!
