Plentiful parking, huge beach, lots of room, camping on site or stay the day!!! The grounds are very clean, well taken care of, staff is friendly!
I love bringing the dog and walking the beach whenever possible! It is free and still not overcrowded!
Went here lots as a kid. it is a great picnic place and they keep it well, but the price goes up and up. When the tide is out, there is not enough water for swimming so you have a lot of sand...but kids can look for jellyfish and horse shoe crabs etc in season. There is a game room... More
When the tide is high it's nice. However there are tons of little shells in the muddy sand that will cut your feet. When the tide is out there is no chance at getting at water. But if you go during high tide, and bring water shoes you will have a great time and you might even see a horseshoe... More
Thomas Point Beach is a beautiful spot along the coast of Maine! It's a campground, a place to enjoy a picnic and swim, and a great spot for a family reunion or company picnic. The grounds are very well kept and the staff is like family. At high tide, you can kayak from the beach and see opsrey and herons.... More
This was the perfect setting for the Maine Highland Games. A light salty breeze in off the water on hot days. Trees offered a sheltered area for camping, open fields for a parking lot. A large parade ground for the Massed Pipe Bands. I haven't been back to TPB or the Highland Games since they moved.
Very nice beach to visit. the kids walked down and put their feet in the lake which leads to the ocean and it was very cold.
Only one pre-requisit...make sure it's high tide. The park is sprawling and spotless. Two for Tuesday is a great deal. Get a calender of events...Blue Grass concerts are AWESOME !!!
I attended the Celtic Music Festival in July 2012. The park is near the ocean, so it's pleasantly cooled by breezes. The restrooms, as well as the lawns are well-kept.

So we were really boxed in between other campers. I have camped at a lot of campgrounds but never one like this one. Electricity is shared by two... More
