We camped here at the campground within the park. It was mid May so it was very empty. Beautiful park and campground. Bathroom facilities are average but I would stay here again. We rode our bikes to top of Mt Battie (12% grade and higher at places) for amazing views. You can also drive or walk to top and it... More

We entered the park through a trail head along the road, and hiked up Mt. Megunticook to Ocean Lookout. It was a moderate climb to a beautiful view over Penobscot Bay. There the trail connected to many other trails, and we wandered a bit before heading back down. We only had a day to spend in Camden, and this was... More

Arrived on a lovely clear day in mid May and the view was fabulous. Friendly and chatty man collecting entrance fee. Husband saw first (tiny) snake on the East Coast. "There are no poisonous snakes in Maine" said one of the other visitors. Not too many other folk there due to the time of year.

Well, you might not actually hear the Sound of Music when you hike these hills, but the view is wonderful. A great family hike, not arduous at all and on a clear day... Oops, there i go again, breaking into song!

I love hiking Mt. Battie and Mt. Meguntacook, to do both it will probably take a total of three hours at a moderate pace. Granted the last time I did both it was in the snow so it did take a little longer. Once you get to the summits the view is amazing, it over looks the whole harbor of... More

We hiked up Mt Megunticook because we were short on time- Turn on Spring road off of Rt 52. It turned out to be a highlight of our trip. It was a gorgeous overview of the Camden seacoast and the islands surrounding the area. It was an easy, fun rock climbing hike. Must do if you have an hour!

We came to Camden in March and walked up the road to the lookout and even with the wind and cold, it was definitely worth it! The view from the top is incredible.

A beautiful state park located off of Route 1 near Camden, Maine. Camden is a quaint harbor town along the rocky coast of Maine. The views from the Mountain next to Camden is breathtakeing and well worth the adventure . Loved the Camden Harbor with the many variety of boats. Seafood resturants are also plentiful in Camden. Camden is truly... More

Miles of hiking trails with great views. You can camp or stay in the cabins. Camden is right down the road for shopping and many wonderful restaurants.

This park is not so much fun for kids or families. Maybe for walking the dog or stopping to have lunch. I don't think it is worth the cost and I don't think you could make a day out of it.
