Great 17 miles of hills and views of water and country living! Took Rt 52 out of Camden north, then Rt 235, next Rt 105. The first hill out of town is the biggest and it's basically downhill from there.

Rowed in the yearly regatta. It is a beautiful venue. The rowing club there also provides a great place to learn how to row during the warm weather months.

The best time to take this hike is in the fall so that you can appreciate all the colors. The view of Megunticook Lake is superb.

Amazing views and many trails to explore, a good option to escape the more crowded trails on Mt Battie

The views of the ocean and lake were terrific! It is so peaceful to just sit and enjoy the serenity and vistas.

There is a paved parking lot and ramp at the put-in onto Megunticook that make launching our 10-foot kayaks easy. The lake is large, with islands and interesting vistas. I don't remember any motor craft at all, so our 4 or 5 excursions have ben very private and quiet. There is a porta-potty at the parking areas. We'll come back... More

My family--ages 3-75-- rented a house on Lake Megunticook for a week. We loved swimming in the clear water, kayaking and canoeing. It's such a quiet place. Wonderfully restorative.

We love to go swim here after work for a quick dip in the summer. A nice way to not feel like we're missing summer. Several lovely drop in points for kayaking -- can spend a stunning afternoon getting lost enjoying the cliffs, the cottages and the loons. Just a few minutes out of Camden, this is a convenient way... More

We put in at the boat access and spent several hours exploring a small part of the shoreline of this lake. Surrounded by cottages it must be a busy lake but we were not bothered by other boats as we paddled our kayaks. We saw two loons but no other wildlife. It is a huge lake with many coves so... More
