Just an impressive place on a nice ocean point. the history of this home is amazing. read up on it via Wikipedia before viewing. just a short 2-3 min from the center of Kennebunkport. regardless of your politics... we've had 2 presidents here.. and it's a beautiful place. take the time to swing out.. take a couple pictures.. and head... Our second time in Kennebunkport and still get a thrill out of seeing the American Flag flying over the Bush Compound and knowing that President Bush and his wife are on the site and possibly George W and his wife and Jeb and family also are there. Last year this time, while we were here, they all were there when... More

We rode bikes around the 3+ mile circle area along the beach and old large houses. Walker's Point is where the Bush family house is, seen at a distance, but glad we saw it.

Even though you can't access the property, we felt like you really got a pretty good view of the Bush summer home. It's lovely, only wish I had an invite!

I can see why he and Barbara would love to summer here each year. A beautiful location. They had not arrived for the summer when we were there, but were expected within a few weeks so there was some work taking place on the grounds.

It is amazing to me that we can stop by the side of the road and see such beauty and a summer home of two presidents, the ride to Walker`s Point is beautiful, and the home as well,we have seen President George Bush in his speedy boat and members of the family,a great photo spot, the only drawback is many people go there,... Though I did not vote for either Bush president, that fact doesn't deter from respecting and visiting the locales where the presidents live/lived. Secret Service and security cameras are always present. The home is very well guarded and tourists have no access to the compound. Don't even try it. The Bush family compound has been in the family for many... More

The other reviews are right.....there's little to no parking, it's a definite drive by spot, but well worth a look see! Really an amazing piece of land, and the house is huge and beautiful. No distance picture would really do it justice, but so worth seeing this slice of history, and imagining all the conversations that probably happened around the... More

A few small turnouts afford limited glimpses of the former President's family summer retreat. It's worth seeing if one is already in the area, but don't be surprised if there's nowhere to park. A good zoom lens is indispensable if you feel compelled to photograph it. Binoculars work just as well. Be alert for distracted pedestrians vying for a better... More

Although you really aren't allowed down on to the property it is a beautiful view from the little point next door.
