At low tide, there's the beach is very wide, plenty of room to bike, walk, shell hunt, etc. At high tide the beach narrows significantly. The waves sound great far off or close up. The beach is clean aside from the usual seaweed debris. It's almost endless as the Ogunquit beach goes all the way up to Wells Beach. Even... More

I just love this beach for many reasons, the walk, the cold water, the waves, the view of the Ogunquit town and marginal way, the way the tidal river greets the ocean, the ability to be by yourself but not feel lonely. We were there in the early May, off season, and it was wonderful.....

The beach at Ogunquit is always clean. It is controlled by excellent security and lifeguards. The convenience of the rest rooms, the joy of walking to grab a bite to eat or lick your favorite ice cream cone is incredible. Wished I could spend more time than the usual week.

One of the best walking beaches. Beautiful at high tide and low tide. Flat, white sand beach where you smell the salty air while the ocean ripples or roars. Great kite flying!

This is the cleanest and most beautiful beach on the seacoast. Parking can be a thing, but if you let that be and zen through it...it is worth it. Don't miss a walk downtown as well. Ogunquit is the best.

This is a fabulous beach, especially off season. Go in Spring or Fall and you'll have a wide expanse of flat beautiful sand to yourself where you can walk for miles. But bundle up 'cause this ain't Florida!

This is a great, long, smooth sandy beach. We loved walking and seeing the gentle waves. Some people were surfing the waves a bit farther out, but due to the long, gradual shoreline, the waves were gentle by the time they got to the beach. Saw the (endangered) Piping Plovers walking the beach, and a few large clam shells. A... More

This is the perfect beach for walking or flying a kite. I have never been here in the summer, only in the spring so I do not know how crowded it is in the summer. However there is a lot of beach, so if you don't mind walking I think you could find a nice quiet spot away from the... More

Sandy beaches are rare in Maine so this very long stretch of sand is worth the visit. Visit when the tide is out and you can walk for miles up and down the beach.
