We were amazed not only finding a cinema/event place here but also one that is full of history and very active. We loved the restored seats. Definitely worth supporting.

What a magical evening inside such a landmark on deer isle. We watched a movie along side 20-30 other visitors and enjoyed the intimate setting, sipping wine and laughing together.

Whether for a movie or for a play, the Stonington Opera House is a great venue. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and if you find you need more padding, cushions are available to make your time even more comfortable. Independent films... quirky films... classic films... vaudeville... it's all there! Not to be missed!
