This is a very popular beach and is busy. But it's length helps keep it from being too crowded. We like that a walk from one end to the other and back is about an hour.

This is a nice beach except for when the tide comes in. When the tide comes in there is almost no sand to sit on. The water is very cold but there are lots of places to eat right accross the street.

What fun! I took my Aussie and we had a lovely walk! The beach was empty, the tide was low, and it was a sunny and cold day. It was very clean, easy parking (since it's winter and mid week!) but I can imagine how much fun it must be in the middle of summer! I'll be back!

We visit Long Sands at least once a week during the summer months. The town does a really good job keeping it clean and attractive for families. The water is sometimes cold but we have never had a bad visit to this great beach.

If you're looking for excitement and action - go somewhere else! This is a beach to relax, enjoy, soak up the sunshine, or take a long walk. Great place for families. I've been coming every summer since I was 10 years old, and I hope nothing ever changes!
