We stopped in as we drove by the Cape. Plenty of parking and you can walk along the entire canal or bike or skate. It was a beautiful day and tons of people were out enjoying the day. Great place to take pictures.

This bike trail takes you to the beach. It's great for Biking, fishing, walking, and rollerblading. You can even just sit back and people and boat watch.
This cruise offers 2 cruises---a 3 hour cruise in the morning and a 2 hour cruise in the afternoon. Both travel the same canal, the morning cruise just goes a little further than the afternoon cruise. It was narrated for the first part that was interesting but the individual doing the narrative seemed to be doing it for the first...

Great place to get some exercise and watch the tugs and sailboats cruise through the Canal. We walked under the Bourne Bridge and saw fishermen catch some mighty big fish. All ages come to the trail, from little ones in strollers to seniors out for a walk.
If you'e ever in the area, be sure and visit the Cape Cod Canal. We live in the area and walk a mile or two every day. Snow, Rain or shine~although I will admit, not so far in the rain. There is the railroad bridge, which takes the dinner train (in summer) from Buzzards Bay to Hyannis, and the Bourne...

The canal is a great place to take a family walking, biking, and picnicing. Try to time your visit so you can watch the train bridge go up and down.
I went with a group on the canal ride. It was marvelous so informative and done in an exciting presentation. We loved it.
Fun for the entire family. Enjoy the day along the canal, watch the boats pass by, be active or just sit and take in the breeze. Relax and unwind along the canal. We've biked along the whole mainland side, next summer we're going over the bridge to do the other canal road. Always a good time.
Both sides of the canal have walking/biking trails and overlooks. Many seafood restaurants dot the adjacent roads. Skilled fishermen often catch striped bass here in season. Very nice place for a family day together.
The cape cod canal cruise departs from Onset and sails through a lovely bay before entering the canal. The narration was sparse but interesting and informative. However, the 3 hour cruise is about 90 minutes too long. The boat has restrooms and junk food snacks.
