For any descendents of the victims this is the memorial to visit. It is historically placed near the Old Meeting House, I walked and there are no signposts but is past the cemetery which is on your right and round the corner on the left bend it stands discreetly. I spoke to Richard Trask who helped design it and who... More

The memorial was interesting and informative. We had difficulty finding the location. There is no place to park. We had to park on the road and partially on someone's lawn.

I would love to advertise this town as the original witch trial. I live here and am very knowledgable of the facts. It is. But the monument is over sold. The original stoning is down the street and you have to ask at the Rebecca Nurse House for the directions. The monument is fine..its just thats not the tribute or historic value... More

Enjoyed the memorial itself as well as the entire Salem area. Great day - lots to do so plan an entire day if visiting.

Most people think the witch trials and accusations happened in Salem, but it was Olde Salem Village, now Danvers that was the center of the troubles - This memorial lists the names of the accused, sadly - it has little grace as a memorial, but I trust is accurate - very near the site of the original church where the... It was nice to see, It is kind of hidden though. One would think that more time and money would spent on this.

I really like the design and the fact you can read some quote of the accused witches. But i'm a bit sad we couldn't find the basement of the meeting house from Salem Witch trials which is supposed to be on the other side of the street. You should also check for the Geo Cache in the wood next to... More

My visits to the Danvers Witch Memorial My visits to the Danvers Witch Memorial (officially known as the Salem Village Witchcraft Victims’ Memorial of Danvers) are usually sobering experiences.  First though, you may wonder why the memorial is in Danvers rather than Salem, given that Salem is the place that usually comes to mind when thinking of the witchcraft hysteria... Very emotional for me. I have acted in The Crucible and have been fascinated by the tragic events of those times. I visited the graves that I was able to find as well
