This building was transformed from a ruin to a gem of Victorian architecture -- so it's now an arts and cultural programs center for Falmouth residents and visitors alike. in the Hall there is also a display that tells the story of the prominent Beebe family who lived there in the late 19th c. There's always something to interest us... More

What a gorgeous structure - so beautifully renovated - outstanding detailing - makes one yearn for the old days! How can we have "advanced", but no longer can afford to build such lovely homes? What happened!

This place gets better and better every year. The concert series this year was terrific and now they have the gardens opening. Been to weddings here that were just so pretty ... you feel as though it is your house or at least your great aunt's house

We visited Highfield Hall late one afternoon and enjoyed a walk round the 1800's property which was home to the Beebe family. It has a 'suggested' donation to gain admission to the property, which has many rooms to look through, although it is a little disappointing that they are not all furnished, but are more a home for exhibiting art... We discovered this spot purely by accident after a conference visit to Woods Hole, but truly enjoyed every moment of our visit. This incredibly beautiful "summer cottage" from a bygone era was saved from neglect and restored to its former charm by a group of dedicated volunteers. Acres of wonderful woodland trails are available for exploring in addition to the... More

It took me about 2 years to visit Highfield, after moving to Falmouth, but I don't know what took me so long! The house itself is a "must visit" especially when all dressed up for the holidays. Each room is spectacular! Check their web site, since there are many activities for kids, adults and family---ranging from music, historic talks, cooking... More

We visited Highfield 2 weeks in a row. The first event was a magnificent art exhibit of local artists sharing their love for Bebee Woods (where Highfield is located). The qualit of the art and manner in which it was displayed was phenomenal. The next week we attended a wedding reception. Guests flowed freely through the many rooms for drinks... More

There are walking trails, swimming holes, a beautiful estate with tons of history. At Christmas time the entire place is decorated and they have a little shopping of hand made items. They also bring in a local dance group to do a little piece of the Nutcracker for your entertainment.

Gorgeous home with many acres of trails! We walked from the Captain's Manor Inn where we toured the home and then walked to the Ice Pond.
