This beach is great for young children - under 2 during low tide. At high tide there is virtually no beach. The carousel is a must see and ride especially for young children.

It's a nice place for a walk on a nice day! There's a fee for parking during the summer and it's quiet during the off season.
Grab a spot away from the tourists down by the residential area, but stroll along the touristy pier for more fun stuff to do. (mini-golf, arcades, restaurants, Joseph's has biggest(and least expensive) fried dough as well as clam strips, etc. Doesn't have a horrible low-tide smell like some beaches either. Not bad for collecting seashells, walking dogs, etc.
Great place to go an eat and Walk the beach. Easy parking and good restaurants there Proposed to my wife on that beach!
This is by far the best beach for walking (except at high time when there is no real beach) and also for swimming. Many drive to the beach to just sit in cars and enjoy the surf--off season. The area is dog friendly, too, off season as well. There is something for everyone on Nantasket Ave. including casual as well...

Just a great beach. Parking can be a little expensive, but we always spend the whole day so its worth it. Have been going there since I was a kid - great memories. Go late in the afternoon with an iced coffee and just walk the beautiful beach. Dont' miss it!!!
Nantasket beach isn't the best or most beautiful beach I've been to,but it does the trick. Parking is expensive but if you go beyond A street you can usually find parking on the street without getting ticketed
Nantasket beach has been the go-to beach for city dwellers for years. Accessible by mass transit and car, the beach is no longer the home of the honky tonk since the demise of Paragon Park. However, for beach going, there are few beaches that can beat it.
We went to listen to good music at Note-C, right accross from the beach. We were early, and despite the cold, we were bundled up enough to be able to go for a brisk walk. I have been there in the summer too, and it is a great beach!
