The Oak Bluffs Campground area of Martha's Vineyard is a MUST see...so charming, pristine, and tranquil. You will not be able to stop snapping photos, and you will not be able to decide which cottage is most beautiful! We went in early Spring, and would love to go back when all of the flowers are in bloom! Be sure to... More

Very pretty homes with beautiful bright colors. They are very small but adorable. Lots of victorian history. A greate walk and a must do in Martha's Vineyard.

Most of these hundreds of lovely, quaint cottages are huddled together in vividly decorated splendor. You'll feel like you stepped into another world. Don't miss going into the museum which is actually one of the houses decorated as a typical house might have looked on the inside.

This collection of 300+ cottages is a must see. It speaks of an era of faith-based camps that were popular in 1800's. It evolved from tents to camps, mostly for summer use. Now a national historic district, nothing can be done to the outside. Do visit the museum and talk with staff - they have photos and stories of an... More

Learn about the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association, which dates to 1835. Very colorful, gingerbread cottages. I loved the one with the sign that read: "On this site, in 1897, nothing happened!" LOL Seriously, these cottages top the Battery in Charleston, SC for original color schemes, in my humble, though accurate, opinion! You can walk from Oak Bluffs, through the... More

It is great to stroll through the campground which is quiet and peaceful an see the many different types of gingerbread cottages there. Also, Illumination Night in August is excellent where the campground community is lit up by different lanterns and a sing-along program is also conducted in the campground.

I love the history of this area. The fact that the whole city of Oak Bluffs started as a site for a church revival is amazing. The cottages are so cute and I love walking through the area.
