Our favorite spot in P-town. We kayaked over through P-town Harbor but there is also a ferry shuttle that runs there. We paddled over-about 1.75 miles each way and saw several seals along the shore area. Gorgeous beach and shoreline with a lighthouse.

It's a long hike or you can cheat and use the jette....but this is a magnificent sight for anyone who loves the ocean.

I drove to Racepoint and hiked to the lighthouse. It was a pleasant walk to the lighthouse and finding whole clam shells and other beautiful rocks. The Lighthouse and the Guest house is solar powered, totally off the grid. It is kept up totally by volunteers. I stopped by while they were preparing the property for the summer season and... More

Accessible by foot or four wheel drive, this light keepers house sits at the end of the cape. It is also possible to stay overnight with advance arrangements with the Seashore.

This was everything we expected and more! I wish we could have made time stand still and it almost seemed to, We walked on the beach until our feet hurt! The view, the beach, the sand dunes, the lighthouse - everything was the experience we were looking for. Our "Keepers/Hosts" were wonderful and made us feel soooo welcome. We had... More
