If you want to get a close up and personal look at the elk go to where they are fed, you can be within feet of them which is really impressive. Even watching them in the field is a pleasurable experience.

was fun watching elk but you can't feed tehm any more becasue someone tried to posin them. still fun to watch

We were so happy to find this facility - and it was definitely worth our time. The elk herd is protected within a large fenced enclosure, I believe the intention is to eventually introduce them into the wild. They certainly seemed peaceful and healthy! We loved having such a "close encounter!"

we checked out the Park. Easy to view the herds. Watched a senior male run off a young fellow who though he might stroll into the female herd. Well maintained.

It was great. The kids loved it and the animals are friendly. We brought some checkmix to feed them.

If in Gaylord we stop by and see the wild animals that are loose behind a very tall fence. Only takes a short time to visit; but fun to see.

The trails here are beautiful and if you're lucky you'll see some Elk. You can bring a bike or walk.
