If you like old Estates, and Restoration projects. This is the place to stop if your in the area. We just stumbled onto this Estate when we were traveling. The Staff was so welcoming to us and had such a passion for this project.

Loved the fact they had someone explaining what has been done to remodle the mansion. We started on the main floor and it was so interesting all the things that have been there. I did not like the fact that their were steps to climb after standing for a hour litening to the stories. I want to go back and... More

Step back into another era, experience restoration of the setting of a true love story, Dorr Felt's devotion to his wife and family is present in the setting and attention to detail he constructed this family 'cottage'. Thank you for keeping this treasure for all to enjoy.

This is a restored estate of a Chicago adding machine magnate. The main house is largely restored. A chapel has been added. They're working on the carriage house now. If you are in the area, it is worth a visit.

We were there for a wedding. Beautiful grounds and nicely renovated. It's almost 100 year old building, so few bathrooms and a little drafty but to be expected. Beautiful venue for a celebration. No idea how much to rent and obviously u can spend as much as you want depending on catering

So much to see, do and learn about it! "ghost tour" proved to be VERY interesting and believable!! But not scary! So, recommended for all ages!!

A wedding had the "summer house" closed to public tours, so we peeked in some windows and got a general idea of the decor. Turning our attention to the grounds was a great decision. The remnants of a round concrete pool brought out talk of alligators housed in a zoo, previously on the property. Following the trail just past the... More

For neighboring residents of the Felt Mansion, it has been extremely disruptive to the peaceful serene lifestyle they had enjoyed in the past, before all the noise, debt, and general disruption to that area of the township. It is no longer a desirable area to live. The restoration was originally started as a strictly volunteer/donation project, but has turned into a... More
