This bridge is magnificent. And the museum information was really interesting and in a great location for view of the bridge. Peaceful park surroundings.
I've literally passed over the Mackinac Bridge hundreds of times in my life, and had no idea of the manpower, investment, time, and dedication it took to make this 5 mile long bridge a reality. We too had thought the memories and artifacts from the crew that participated in this massive undertaking had been destroyed in the fire that consumed... More
so informative on how the Mackinaw bridge was built, with pictures, a film on the construction of the bridge, along with tools used in building the bridge. a must see.
After the fire a couple of years ago when the original museum was lost, I was grateful to see it has been restored. Many new artifacts displayed with good presentation although some of the previous keepsakes were missing and cannot be duplicated. But, well done and so important to preserve the memories of our great bridge. Its free, so everyone... More

I decided to go to this museum on my boyfriend and I's vacation to Michigan after reading everyone else's reviews. I think it's a pretty neat little free museum. Im not sure if all the very interesting stuff burnt up in the fire but this was just below average. A few trinkets of stuff and some pictures but I almost felt like it was a ploy to... More
This is a free museum above Mama Mia's Pizza. They had some cool pictures and artifacts, as well as an awesome model of the bridge. We could have definitely spent more time here, but it did not hold the attention of our 7 year old daughter.
